Hello Tom.

I'll reply to your PM in a minute. This all sounds brilliant.

It should be bigger and better this time, and the course will be a lot better and put together better this time from what we made out the other night ay Tom, so everybody should come again, and hopefully we can arrange another gig somewhere, Matt done such a good job last time, he's hired again, lol, only jokeing, I think the hireing of a bar would be suitable, which can be pretty easilly arranged.

Phil.

Hmm, sounds great. Me and my mates will probably make the effort to come over :P Can you PM me with some B+B details etc if you have any please B)

But the only drawback i can think of is that i've only been riding 4 months and i don't wanna be out of my limits :)

Is the course do-able for people like me?

Cheers

Nick

theres a YHA youth hostel in conway, do a google and you should find it, otherwise you'll have to wait til friday for me to find some cheap b+b's

no matter how long you've been riding you'll be able to do the course, there will be some BIG stuff but also some small stuff and your free to pick your own line through the course.

if anyone is unsure of what i mean by a bike battle download the chris akrigg final run vid which is his winning run in the nottingham bike battle...

as phil said this event is going to be a shed load better than the last one

oh yeah and theres prizes (Y) dont worry you dont have to pull the biggest move of the night to win, just ride and impress the judges. for example if we get 30 riders who all do the same 9 pallet side hop and only do huge uci moves and then someone comes in and pulls a manual to fufanu then plays on a pallet stack and everyones like 'holy shit that was cool' then guess who will win!!!

it is simply down to who rides the coolest and most impressive run, big is not nessecarily best!

Me and Rick should hopefully be driving down with maybe another person but not sure yet. If he's busy then i'm hoping to try a lift with Aaran (IOLO) if he's got any space in his mean machine of a car lol.

Can't wait!!

From what i've picked up, abit quieter music and getting a deal on some where to stay would be brill. Some where really close to the event if poss because us being from up north dont know the way around AT ALL  lol

Cheers,

Nick (Y)

yes everything this time will be constructed more sturdily so nothing should fall apart or break! i'm spending lots of time building the sections in preparation for this event!

party in a field sounds like a plan and a half, i'll try and find a field

yes some stuff will be bigger than the last event but you'll still have to be creative with your lines!!!

right we've been building sections today and have agreed we need to know how many riders there are going to be for the comp so if you plan on comming and riding the practice day and the comp could you let me know. entry forms will be sorted when i get back off holiday (3 weeks time) and so long as the comp isn't full we will take entries on the day

see y'all there

Yey.

Hope to see you all there boys and girl. We'll coming down on the friday i'm thinking! So i can miss school or is it in holidays?

google is your friend -

http://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/hostelpages/182.html

for camping i'll have to have a search locally or if you pm madbob he might have time to look for you, i'm away for 3 weeks as of tommorrow...

that youth hostel is just under 6 miles away and its the nearest cheap accomodation however there are 'nice' cheap b+b's in llandudno for about £12+ a night. i'll go find some web links for you (ones that you could have found yourself :P )

http://www.llandudno.com/hazel.html - £16 a night

if i get chnace before i go away i'll get numbers for a few more but theres a start and that only took 2 minutes on google...

lmao just read the thread... lol.

Friday nothing?

Saturday practise

Sunday comp

What will the comp be like? Will there be places for everyone to ride or will people be sitting around doing f**kall for a long time? If so i reckon that a general JAM might be abit better in and amongst :-

What time will the bike battle finish on the sunday as we're gonna have to drive back to West Yorkshire on the Sunday night :P

I'm looking for cheap B&B's now, can't remember the area that it's in though. Any more specific than Llandudno?

Wouldn't mind one mega close to the comp place you see :P

Nicky boy :P :P :P

well llandudno is not that big, you can ride from one dside to the other in 10-15 mins and the hall is right in the middle so it don't matter where your staying in llandudno.

i can organise a general jam on friday nite if there is enough demand for it however that will mean that some riders have had more practice than others for the comp and also i dont want to have to re build too much in time for the comp.

the comp is bike battle style. if your not interested in watching then i'll organise a street ride in llandudno but places are limited for the comp so it should be a good laugh to watch and it will be broken up with some films and maybe riding session.

each rider will have 90seconds for their run. that means i reakon we should get 10 riders in a half hour block. i'm thinking on my feet here but i will probably limit entries to the comp to 30 riders split into 3 groups of 10. group one comp from 1pm til 1.30, group 2 from 1.45-2.15 and group 3 from 2.30 til3pm. that means that people aren't having to sit around for ages to wait their turn, they can go off and ride and come back when their group starts. that also means we can have a general riding jam after the comp from 3.30ish til i decide i wana go home to bed :P

everything in this message is off the top of my head and subjest to change...
