Mark W
now as i said im not lookin for an argument just what i think, based on having wached the worlds best riders at world cups, french cups, world champs, indor trials across erope id like to see. danni comas, world champ, realy nice guy, very entertaining carlos diaez, very impressive rider, top bloke, top 5 in the world uci gille coust, just barmy, unique riding style, top 10 in the world benito, you guys just love to see him sidehop ,world champ marc vinco, most entertaining demo rider i ever saw vinc hermance, another unique riding style, top 10 in the world rafal cumerosqui (sp). never seen anyone ride sectoins so fast marco hosal, crazy 20" rider, comitted sportsman.top 5 in the world danny butler, uci rankin for 2004 4th in the world, unique riding style and level in the uk ben slinger, world champ(allthough it is biu), impesive on 20" now let the insults and critisisms roll in! and look out for the BLP's ← Have you seen the level of riding Ashton and Hawyes are at in the Halfords DVD/video jobbie? Those 180 gaps to 180 out, etc., rule. They're still coming up with new stuff all the time, whilst most people on here seem to jump on whatever bandwagon's around at the time (notice the *massive* influx of those front wheel majiggers going on now). They definitely should be riding, especially seeing as they're the best known trials riders in Britain. I've never really found Danny Butler to have a "unique riding style"? In all the videos I've seen of him and seeing him ride at comps, it just seems like he's a sorta copy of Gilles, but not as good? There doesn't seem to be anything that signifies that it's *his* style, almost. I mean, Vincent Hermance, Gilles Coust, Benito Ros, etc. all have their own styles which are really easy to spot if you see them riding, but Danny Butler just does stuff, with no real showing of his... I don't know... personality, almost? It'd be cool to see Rafal Kurmorowski (however the Hell it's spelt... I bet even he doesn't know ) ride there, but would we ever need him, Marco Hosel and Carlos Diaz there? Rafal's pretty individual, but I just think having 3 riders with similar styles like that might be overkill? The good thing about the Bike Show trials course is that you DO get a wide variety of styles. Even though you might not like Akrigg's riding, or Danny Holroyd's riding, it's still well worth watching. You can pick ideas up from everywhere for riding, so why not sit back and watch them? Sorry for sounding like a 'tard, but what are "BLPs" and why should we watch out for them?

Brian Bleech
There are quite a few places that deal with Norco. Search here for your nearest norco dealer ← oh didn't know that!! there are quite a few! in that case get him over  there are tons of reason and to be fair norco/sole pay for him to drive around us/candian all year, probably already booked for somewhere! ScotchDave
Norco's British distributor is ATB I think, used to be my LBS, but then norco screwed em over.
KOXX-UK
I think that Forum users need to know some of the facts surrounding the Bike show trial arena line up. The list is compiled by Martin & Martyn strictly on an invitational basis. Originally TRA was included, but he is currently injured, M & M did not know this when they made their invitation. It was decided that an assessment of TRA’s fitness would be made at KOXX DAYS. It appears that left it too late for TRA to obtain cheap/reasonably priced flights. For some reason it costs more to fly from his home to the U.K. than it costs to fly from the U.K. to Japan. The Bike show organisers do not pay the riders appearance money, they make a small contribution to the cost of accommodation, and they do not pay for flights. Far too expensive to take a gamble. Shortly after TRA withdrew, Gilles became available. As he is currently resident in the U.K. it made economical sense to ask the organisers if they wanted him to ride. So, now we have Gilles instead of TRA, I am sure he will put on a good show. Like many of you I have read that Gilles will be at this trial or that, but he has not shown. We intend to help him get to some events during 2005 to make the most of his stay in the U.K. Edited February 10, 2005 by KOXX-UK

NOT the rules of riding, but all the bullshit surrounding it. BMX, take a look. "Hey, if you are f**king good and wanna ride at the bike show, come and ride. There is 20 places going." Nobody gives a f**k if dave mirra is injured, if he wants to ride, he can f**king ride. Just because he may not perform to his max. I'm sure he could put on an amazing show. Theres too much politics in trials these days. I remember all I used to worry about was the weight of my bike. Far to complicated now though. If I were koxx I'd let TRA ride. He is very eager. I can see gilles not turning up though. Didnt he do that last year? For my part I think Kenny always puts on a good show, as would Caisso, but they were not invited. I think they chose those with 2004 World titles, its not a bad bench mark to adopt as they are sure to on form. Like Bongo I am not a lover of rules and regs, but they are there for a reason. You can spend all your time fighting or making the best of a situation as it stands. Fred. ps. Gilles will ride. I just wanted people to know that the organisers were not willing to take the risk of advertising the attendance of a popular rider like TRA only to have him withdraw because his wrist was still bad. I see their point in a way - it would lead to a "they said" situation. Fred.

Mark W
the good thing about having riders who WANT to be there, is that they will ride all day whenever they get the chance. rather than just the shows. john ← First thing - lovin' the avatar (Y) Made me proper lol in the middle of an art lesson. Second thing - fair point. It seemed like it was only Hermance, Belaey, Reis and Co. who were actually willing to ride when I was there. Chris Akkers and Ed Tongue seemed to sit around, and I think Danny Holroyd had gone off with Adam Burns after he snapped his BB doing the big drop*. It would be cool though to have people properly up for riding the course even when Clive hasn't just gone "Mr. ____ ________" though, like the foreign riders were doing. It just puts across a better image of trials in general when everyone's bright eyed, bushy tailled and riding aboots the place as opposed to sitting around. Boon seemed to be ripping about the place too later on in the day when I was there, so that was good to see - even though I didn't know he was Boon/Berridge then. The rules 'n' regulations do suck, and it does seem pretty counter-productive in some ways (like there used to be a BB height limit ), but I guess it's just the comp arm of things that are like that. At least with street/natural when you're messing about you can do what you want, really. The stuff the American's started using with all that "negative line" crap last year/two years ago was a bit excessive too, in hindsight. *This is 2003, btw.
