GuyJames
I am getting a new helmet and want the Giro Semi Mx seen here however should I get the 2004 or 2005 edition? What is better about the 2005 one, or is it just the option of matt black?! Thank you. Guy
Urpedigreechumdog
The 2005 ones have the option of matt black or matt grey, imo the matt colours are better.....i have a matt grey one :(

GuyJames
That is nice to know but back on topic.................... What are the differences? Which one should I get? Thank you.
TheMunn
They seem pretty much the same, only real difference is the colour, so really it depends on what one you want, although the 2004 one's are kind of sparse now. really nice helmet though, get one ! MadChikken
Or u could save and get a Giro Xen....which imho is the most gorgeous helmet in the entire world. I got mine on order through work in matt black, and damn they lush :P If u havent seen one in the matt black colour then ur missing out. It is expensive at £80 but much nicer than the semi mx i reckon....(Y) M@
Tartridge
What are the differences? Which one should I get? ← Neither, if it doesnt fit. Get down your LBS and try one on, a helmet is no good if it doesnt fit you properly! :P
Mark W
Ad speaketh the truth. I really wanted a Semi-MX, but it just didn't feel all that comfy, so I didn't buy it. That was a year ago, when I needed to replace my year and a half (at least) old helmet. One year on, still using the same helmet. Really do need to get a new one, but I don't really like any of them out there now apart from the Xen, but don't want to/can't spend £90 on a new helmet. Mark. GuyJames
Sound advice there Tart. I like the 2005 matt black option so will go with that. I agree the Xen is much better, nicer however I do not have £80 and am seriously in debt! Thank you for all replies  Guy
