SebJT
At the momenet im running a hope mono lightweight on a X618 ceramic with an xtr v brake and std pads. Braking is a little over grabby and in the wet just doesnt happen. Also id quite like a silver rim upfront to match my rear one... Options: Get a silver mavic rim and just use that maybe then with a grind and some better v pads Get a silver koxx or viz rim and do the same. Or same options but go for a front disc. Fears with the disc, hitting the rotor, and breaking forks... Also more expensive. What shall i choose... (Y) Thanks Seb
Janson
Here's my top tip. Get a VERY cheap (I'm talking no-name parts) front wheel with a silver rim. Give it a grind or whatever, to see how it works out. Might weigh a bit extra, and look shit, but you may decide how you want it. I got a £20 front wheel, because I didn't want to grind my beasty Spinergy wheel, and wanted something for the muddy comps. Worked a charm. Today I run a front disc. Works very well, much better than the vee brake.

BI-KING
get a avid cable disk (Y) and keep your front wheel :(
Bendee
getting a disk will be more expensive but things like hitting the rotor and snapping forks doesnt happen alot if at all ive had a front disk for ages now and ive never hit it. plus you get such a better front brake if you get a decent set up.
