OnzaNewbie
I've been looking at buying a echo team, but I never really have much money to spend on bikes parts. Can someone please give me the good and the bad points on each frame. How much can I get a python copy for?? Cheers Marc (Y)
iwannaleeson!
as far as i know, the python copy frame (black dog (Y) ) is 160 from dan ko and i think some other dude on the forum. I should have thought they are nice frames seein as they are basically a python! I on the other hand have an echo team and i love the damn thing! its the 1030mm version so its shorter than a python but that makes it easier to throw about and better for natural i find (Y) As far as money goes i would probably go for the python copy but i have to say the team is a great bike for anyone and looks the nads! (A) really comes down to your choice and how much your willin to fork out! (Y)
Da Make
I would spend bit more to get the Echo. Ultra6 aluminium that is. Much more pro(ish) than some Black Mamba that almost every one seems to have. It's a real thing. Looks much better too!
nb88
Echo team definatly (Y)
b'mouth trials
I would go with the echo, looks alot better imo! Azza (Y)
TomN
Echo Team, feels nicer on the backwheel. Find it more flickable then the P Copy.
RicH_87
hahaha TEAM no question. everything i've heard about the 'Black Mumba' has been pretty neutral. Some hate it, some say its ok, but no one has said they love it. The team is a well known, tried and tested frame, and the new one has the bonus of being the sexiest mod frame ever. TheMunn
Echo team ! The team is a well known, tried and tested frame, and the new one has the bonus of being the sexiest mod frame ever. So true !
Michael Hardman
Seeing a I just bought a Team Im biased. Its such a good frame and when built up it rides super nice. The 362mm chainstays make it easy to get to its balance pioint and it stays there. The longer wheelbase /front end allows for more leverage and gapping is a lot easier. Its still as flickable as a shorter bike and now Im used to it (2weeks roughly on and off) Im back to my old ways of the Monty. So I am a happy bunny. Burton
the proper python,05 un, has 375mm chain stays. same as the pitbull (Y) (Y) if the python copy thing, rides like the new python, then get that. but the echo teams are ment to be really flicky and nice..... so (Y)
TomN
Am sure that these Black Dogs/Mumba are copys of the Python 04. But anyway boh are still nice to ride and you'll be getting your moneys worth. (Y)

*OnzaMike*
I would buy the 05 zoo! python But I want a bash plate, damn 05 not having a bash plate  Marc :) ← Thats exactly what i thought when i found out they didnt have bashplates. The black mumba is a great frame, for price, etc as long as u can solve all the problems with it.. the echo team is nice also, but is over double the price so choice is yours :P. Michael Hardman
Have no camera right now only one pic on pinkbike ill have a look. I measured it at 1045 but I a knob with measurements, my brother is looking to buy an 05 Team so he measured mine and it came out as 1050. I have the new team forks they have so much rake its stupid and this is compared to the older team forks. the chainstay measurement is about 365 as I have it tensioned a little bit. I have a measurent f that later. Had a remeasure: Wheelbase is indeed 1050mm Chainstay length with my rear wheel tensioned is 369mm Edited February 26, 2005 by Michael Hardman
Tom Booth
IMO get the team, Such a nice frame, But as people have said the black dog/python copies are based on the python, o possibly very nice. But does the price of the black dog reflect the quality of manufacture, warrenty, and metal qualities? where as the more expensive team has proven capabilities and a 1 year warrenty. But still, the choice is yours! Tom
