OnzaNewbie
I am thinking of buyin some 20" brisa mod disc forks off a mate, and I have been wondering how weak are they really? How many people have snapped them, or know of people snapping them? Cheers Marc
mehukatti
i snapped the older elite model that has aluminum steerer, and i have seen and read plenty of other people snapping them, too. but the newer pro models with steel steerer are much better. mine is still going strong after something like 1.5 years. i think they're one of the best forks available and perhaps the most good looking... Steve-A
I snapped two pairs of the Elite ones with Alu steerer. First pair went in 3 weeks after little abuse, sent them back they were warrentied. Second pair went after 6/7 months, snapped clean as they cracked round alu steerer. Luckilly I was ladnng a pedal gap and just saw my forks continue... no harm done. They were nice forks and very light, but I do suggest the Echo Team forks they seem to have a good rep. Da Make
My friend snapped his aluminium ones too... They went from straight where the steerer tube meets the crown...

Who even asked anything about viz forks, he was asking about brisas. Mike. :) Aye, I'd probably steer clear of the brisa forks, (presuming they're the old ones with the alu steerer), but if they're the newer ones, then why not. :) :P

JKH
I have used the Brisa Pro fork with the steel steerer for over a year now. The fork is really nice, no complaints.
