Fishwog
There is no way of changing this that I know of. It is embedded into MSN and hotmail that it opens in IE.

DJ Phaze
Sorry guys, I believe it is an embedded link.. e.g. "iexplore.exe; http://www.hotmail.com" or something This means, it will *always* execute IE for Hotmail....

Tomm
ok so what if i delete internet explorer?? what will happen then? ← You can't, it's part of the windows shell. If it bothers you that much, use MSN plus as Danny said, or use a different client like gAIM or Trillian :turned:

DJ Phaze
Mac's are not *bad*!!! If you like the way their interface works, and are prepared to sacrifice 99% of x86 PC Games, then nothing's stopping you (Y)) Yes they are expensive, but they are high quality pieces of machinary - and yes, you do pay some extra ££ for style..... but I think it's worth it. They can do everything (just about) that x86 can do - and M$ have ported over some of their applications to the MacOSX - MSN Messenger/Office/Internet Explorer etc :: Phaze ::

Tomm
Surely if you have the right codecs you can use whatever media player you want? I don't reall know about macs, but I don't have to use WMP for wmv files :o

But the pop-up which comes from the task bar has "iexplore.exe" embedded in it :P( i.e. "http://www.hotmail.com" would open FireFox (as it is the default for HTML pages) - BUT "iexplore.exe; http://www.hotmail.com" would open Internet Explorer, *then* go to Hotmail.com.
