Tim
http://www.firmsolutions.biz/ Host my site, never had any down time in the past 6 months i have been with them (that i have noticed)
*OnzaMike*
http://www.123reg.co.uk Real good for ".co.uk" domains, pritty cheap and reliable. They also do ".com" domains etc, but theyre obviously more expensive.
EngageClothin
I use digital-crocus and i think its ace :-
Nick Garland
Lycos are cheap woth domain names. I got a .co.uk for £4 for two years. Not sure about hosting, have a chat with Trials-Shack dude, im sure he can sort you something out at a reasonable price.
modx-lite
I use www.oneandone.co.uk for domains, never had any problems and theyre always really helpful, think a .co.uk is £2 per year Then for hosting try www.web-mania.com , Ive heard lots of people reccommemnd them and I bought a years hostage (for £20) a bit ago, although not really used it much yet so cant comment too much... Simon
Ive got a bit of problem I have forwarded the domain to my digital-crocus but it isnt being found :- any help appreciated pinky ← Domains take some time to update, there not instant. Give it a day or two.

Sam Nichols
I'm a little confused... you said you used digital-crocus for hosting and 123reg for domain BUT did you not notice that firmsolutions has an unlimited bandwidth... whereas crocus' is limited? sam
JonMack
Yeah but DC is £15 a year, but firmsolutions is $9.95 a month. EDIT: To be honest, D-C is fine for what Pinky needs, and plus "unlimited" never means unlimited, as this forum found out many times. The Dude
yer digital crocus is easy to upload stuff and is perfect for me and I dont need the bandwidth anyway pinky (on the_dudes account)
DJ Phaze
and plus "unlimited" never means unlimited ← Very true, very true. A hosting company would be suicidal to offer "Unlimited" bandwidth/resources... They may allow you to use a maximum of 5% of the bandwidth at any one time - which may not seem much - but they have big fat fibre-optic connections in data-centes (5Gb/s or something sick. I know Google uses 2.3Gb/s....) ... and you'd struggle to fill this. They say "Unlimited" becuase they *know* that you couldn't possibly overload their systems -

Jamie
the supprot on digital crocus is very responsive. :S
br3n
some companies sell u a domain but charge you setup fee's as extra - you can get past this by using programs like zoneedit to control it instead. (its free) you just need to get the nameservers changed.
SamHolmes
If i get the bronze package for £15 a year on digital crocus..... Does this mean I can upload my HTML pages from dreamweaver to this and then I'll buy a domain name from somewhere else or just get .tk ?? (I may sound stupid but I dont have a clue, ive bene using trials shack for my site but Im not aloud any more, so If i got the package from DC, would it just be the same as using trials shack to host it ??) thanks sam (Y)
JonMack
It would be just the same as T-S hosting it, add Pinky to MSN to find out more, he was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago...
