Dan Clark
Try and bodge a nut and bolt so the bb tool won't fall off the bottom bracket, or use a quick release with washers, that could work. Put spanner on tool, make sure the bike is secured, now stamp on the spanner, repeat.

Jonno
sounds like you need more leverage, i know in have a mahoosive adjustable spanner i have that i only use for removin bb's, so buy one or try borrow one from a mate?

Shaun
Get some washers, use a crankbolt and bolt the tool in place. Get a breaker bar and correct sized spanner cup. Remember, you tighten towards the handlebars, so you need to go the other way.
Dan Clark
Ignore the above post, it makes no sense. On the drive side, turn it clockwise to undo. On the non drive side, turn it anticlockwise to undo
Tartridge
On the drive side, turn it clockwise to undo. On the non drive side, turn it anticlockwise to undo ← And ALWAYS do the non drive side first when removing.

Shaun
My mistake, forgot an "un" infront of "tighten" then and if you are going to undo non driveside first, DO NOT bolt the tool inplace, otherwise you will destroy everything.

Bolting it up with free it off! Then un-screw Can you take the non-driveside out completely and still remove driveside or not possible?
Shaun
If you bolt the tool in place so it has NO movement and you keep untightening, you will smash up the cup. So you have to free up the cup a little and take the bolt out and continue from there. And please ingore my mistakes in the last posts, according to Danslicktrix you untighten towards the handlebar....... I'm not having a good day :)
Dan Clark
I've never thought of it about untightening towards the handlebar, makes it simpler to explain I spose. Pedals are the opposite, tighten towards handlebars.
Surfboard921
Use an electric impact wrench. 3 seconds later the BB is out with no damage or cussing. If you dont have one, most decent bikeshops do.
the666ers
Follow Tart's instructions but if you really do struggle, put the tool in a vice and use the frame for leverage  This is how I got mine out when I couldnt do it with a 24inch breaker bar.
