mark-399
alot of people have been asking this so i thought id put this up p.s if you like your gearing more powerful the smaller cog on the back would be best and vice versa) front 22t use 17t,18t or 19t front 20t use 15t or 16t front 18t use 13t or 14t front 16t use 12t or 13t it may be best to try them all to see which best suits you
Phatmike
22:17 = 1.294 22:18 = 1.222 22:19 = 1.158 20:15 = 1.333 20:16 = 1.25 20:17 = 1.764 18:13 = 1.385 18:14 = 1.286 16/12 = 1.333 16/13 = 1.231 16/14 = 1.143 So you can see what's closest to what. Burton
GEAR INCHES FORMULA: (Tire diameter in inches) x (Number of teeth in front chainring) ÷ (Number of teeth in rear sprocket). Useful for comparing Mod and Stock gear ratios. Its easy to see which uns are similar. Mod gear ratio 18:12 compare it to Stock 20:17 (20 x 18) ÷ 12 = 30 (26 x 20) ÷ 17 = 30.588 This shows that the stock gear ratio is stiffer than the mod un. (N) Tis a bit confussing :P but it does work
