Sorry couldn't resist. So how much does it weigh? I'm suprised at some of the choices as well. 7K rims, Dx pedals, Fly tyres...

Can i have a go?

[edit] ah-ha, on the blog it says 23lbs. extremly light then. do you ride for Pijin?

I realise i can make it lighter but i dont want to really. Anything sub 23lbs feels very unstable, I know cos I've had it under 22lbs before.

Plastic bar ends break

Ti brake kit was sent to us accidentally instead of regular one, so it was dead cheap.

Sevenka's cos I could. Wheels need to last so 'buy the best, buy it once'

Tyres cos khe's make the bike feel as unstable as a shit, and the fly's have a good all round tread pattern.

Not quite sure if you're trying to be funny or something?

Edit: I'll ride for half a pijin if its a good'un

Yeah i was just being funny and was curious. If those parts work for then thats cool. It's just i personally would have choose different ones. Plus if some of it was cheaper then why not.

ive dented my sevenka B)

Probably crack soon then. :(

erm

since last time - in roughly this order

KHE legobrick shaped pedals

OBMs old forks

animal tyres

hazard lite on a homer at the front - built by my own fair hands

pegless - due to giant homer bolts not fitting through the holes in my shadow pegs. This is highly gay and as soon as I get off my fat arse and purchase a file that fits in a 14mm hole I'll be rectifying the matter. its nice having a bike that weighs 2lbs less than it did this morning though

The big question is do I spray the wheel white or go for a black back one when I replace it in a few weeks ?

What would you have run instead and why?

Not 7k's for sure to be honest. I've seen too many damaged now. No doubt i ride totally different you my spec would always be different. I will post up my bike with its new wheels.

old school pitchforks and supra Es on Homers (Y) oh - and at least 4 pegs

hangon - that's just me isn't it?

And my old bike ^_^

I happen to do a lotta rear brake moves, so I will just beat the hell outta me

Try it. Just don't go straight to a quarter.

Just got my MacNeil Silencer XLTs today, so i've put them on and had a little ride. First impressions of them were how light they where for their size, it's crazy. On the bike they feel amazing too, give some much more control and feel, and getting the front up feels a lot easy. So all in all well worth the money, top bars :) . I put my old Fit grips on as well, which are much comfier, as the Ruben's ripped and went all shitty.

So here's some pics:

big bars...cut them to 24. (Y) looks sweet man...All you need now is a stem, forks and 2 new tyres. :)

Cut them down? will i fook :P They feel amazing, much better than the 24" bars i was running before, so much more control.

To be honest i'm pretty happy with it now, so the other stuff can wait a while. Stem wise i think i'm going to wait and see what the Fit DLD is like. And in the mean time i'm going to replace the front innertube, as it is stupidly heavy (one of those really thick raleigh ones), so i'll just repair an old thinner one i've got lying around, and whack that in.

yeah - look at the bike ffs. you can't go riding round pegless with a slammed seat and a freecoaster running anything other than a pair of giganto-bars these days.

wide bars aren't my thing at all (i hold 24.5" bars on the bend) but they do look better in pictures
