eskimo
Speaking of which, just revaping my whole drive train setup, which cranks can i run with the new imperial 22T chainring? And wheres the cheapest place im going to find a Profile rear hub?Custom riders were doing them for £120 but it appears that they have none left. It was a while ago though. I bought one for my mod with allen bolts in blue which was lucky as they only had blue and gold left and there was no way i was running gold. Other than that maybe wait for a sale or just look around.anybody running cogs that small should be fined £200 anyway while i'm here ..why are the dropouts on pitchforks not big enough for my pegs?do you think it was safe to file a few mm off the side of my pegs so I could fit them to the aforementioned pitchforks?shall I get some of the new animal tyres ?edit:more to the point - why didn't i post those questions in the bmx questions thread? Most of the S&M made forks including the Fit forks require pegs thats are made with sliced bits on. Both of my pegs have a slight angle grind on them and i've been running them for ages. As long as there tuff pegs it should be alright. I've done it with Animal light 10mm for my Pitchlights and Macneil 14mm for my Fit S2 forks. Plus i'm a axle breaker so you shouldn't be any worse off than i am.New Animal tyres? The GLH i got i am running on the front. Nice and grippy and don't wear down to quick even when sliding out of every fakie. But i do end up having to run the tyre round in both directions so i get equal wear

so u have this one Yup i sure do, although i have changed a fair bit on mine like a new rear wheel (with freecoaster), new seat, grips, sprocket and i think thats about it. And the 07 one is only on improvement on an already sorted bike, so s'all good. Tell you what, i'll add a picture: Edited March 5, 2007 by huck_it

poopipe
4.5lb I doubt it's designed to take pegs at that weight.the dropouts are thick enough and they've got a peg using northern streetcore rider on their team so they've definitely considered it.I think the idea is that the big dropouts prevent your stays getting smacked during grinds - if you look at the frame you can see the stay tubes are a long way forward from where your wheel lives. I can see it helping in some ways but not if you miss.
Michael Hardman
I want a bike, I have questionsI'm considering selling my bike complete, the time might hae come to pack in riding seeing as I'm goin to be one of those pillarsof community as a teacher in about 4 months time.I just can't find time for riding and when I do like today in London I have a bad wrist/arm.I might let it go for £750 considering the spec and condition of everything. Just gotta get £60 more somehow.ok. I had a go on the 20.6 hades and a chat with it's one lady owner today (i had a go on a Fit edwin with a geisha too - mmmmm).basically... the hades is incredibly light, really nicely balanced and super spinny - it's a really, really nice ride but despite it being possibly the nicest frame I've ever ridden there are bad points and they all stem from the silly dropouts.Because the dropouts poke down below your pegs they get mashed up really quickly and because the dropouts place the chainstays so low down they take a right beating too. Carla (our local lady bmxer) has only had it a month or so and it's already looking pretty rough in those areas from both ledge and chain damage (from grinds)- not much denting, just lots of grind damage (she grinds a lot). I'm not saying it's a weak frame at all - this is all purely down to the design of the back end. It seems that a fair amount of the weight has been shaved by making the toptube and seatstays out of really thin metal so you've still got the strength in the important areas it's just very prone to peg damage. In short, it's a beautiful ride but it's just not suited to a rider that hurls themselves at everything with their pegs (Which means I shouldn't buy one at all).hope that helps. Max Quinn
Ok cheers for that. I think i might have come across her on myspcae a few days ago was googling the frame for pics built up and came up with a few peoples myspaces with them on. I've not really a throw myself at stuff with pegs rider to be honest. While i run pegs at the minute i'm not a heavy rider an stuff. But then again i have been starting to do more streety stuff recently (feeble to smith, 180 feeble an 180 smith etc) and i do want the freedom to do that. But i think the pros outweight the cons really, i'll most likely end up getting it. It's either that, the fit hawk, sputnic salelight or Supers*** Light My Fire Frame but i'm definately leaning towards the Inertia.
