Mark W
What front wheel is that? I saw someone at Newport who had exactly the same front wheel but didn't get a chance to ask what it was...
monkeyseemonkeydo
It's a Northern John wheel. Araya aero rim on Odyssey Vandero hub. Alans did a run of them a while ago as a signiture front wheel. Blue looks kinda cool with the peely wally green frame methinks!edit: here. Mark W
Ah, cool, I thought at the time it may have been one of them, but Alans were all about the red rims and I didn't realise there were other colours. Looks pretty swanky anyway

Mark W
Why did you buy the Profile Blade sprocket But yeah, Mid BBs are approx. no fun to put in. I ended up using a socket set and a big lump hammer to put mine in, and even then it took like two f**king days. Next time I'll remember to just sand a bit of paint off the inside of the cups Looks pretty nice though, even though I thought you'd said you regretted cutting your old bars too small (hence selling them?), so why did you cut your new ones to almost the same length

Thom
Can I ask why you guys are using thin trials kinda seats ? is it better than the normal padded ones ? I would of thought its harder to pinch ?
Mark W
I don't really barspin at all, and it's pinchable as is. I'm planning on getting my B's on in London though, but I'll just learn it without pinching. If you watch the Lotek vid (check my sig, second link ) and watch Eddie Clevelands section, you can see you don't need to pinch to do them, just a matter of technique. The main reason though is just that for the sort of riding I do, having a little seat fully out of the way is far nicer than having a sofa at bar level
