Mark W
How many times, stop supporting them!I don't really like The Source, but they're the cheapest place to get those forks. Poopipe was recommending those forks to people. From experience, stuff from The Source actually arrives (Albeit a little late), whereas Winstanleys just don't send stuff. I'm trying to help people out? I couldn't give less of a shit if people buy stuff from the Source...Chris - isn't the Macneil warranty just against manufacturing defects? I thought they called it their "Limited Lifetime Warranty" 'cos it wasn't like the 41thermal-style one?

eskimo
edit, bought macneil xlts. nice and light, good geo and lifetime warrentee.tut tut tut I don't really like The Source, but they're the cheapest place to get those forks. I'm trying to help people out? I couldn't give less of a shit if people buy stuff from the Source...I did mean Winstanley's. They don't do anything for bmx but cause annoyance. And yeah - I'm pretty sure the macneil warranty is just manufacturing defects.Which is extremely funny actually. The silly thing being it's hardly going to take 5 years to realise that your bars are missing the support bar. Also if the material were to snap it wouldn't actually be a manufacture defect as Macneil didn't produce the metal only heat treat it. Which all is obvious i just wanted to make a joke about it Just a word of advice don't throw your bike, they will bend.
chrishayton
well just to add to this, the macneil were out of stock apparently so they offered me slam xlts for the same price. gone for them. whats the warrentee like on them, same deal as macneil?edit just looked it up and its no questions asked. however you can only do that once, after that i think its discounted 3rd set. seems good enough though, so if i bend them from falling or whatever then they are replaced free. woop Edited June 14, 2007 by chrishayton

But i just can't seem to pull it fast enough. Like i go too slow and don't get it eveytime. Any tips/technique changes i could use?
poopipe
will suggesting you give it a shit load more pasty help? maybe try carving in a bit more and faster before take-off and really whip your head and shoulders round hard. if you're getting height you don't really need to spin all that fast so maybe just try to keep the back end up a bit more. If it see's a little bit of water it shits itself lol.I don't remember saying that but it's probably true. Same goes for the Odyssey Path which wins the crapiest tyre award. V-Monster > Path Anyhow when i used to do 360s i would pull back alot more. (My Macneil was a super long bike). Now i don't tend to pull back as much as a shorter bike goes round easier. Still try not carving into it, pull back and up so you would end up doing a flair then tuck that back wheel while your head is trying to face the way it came. It is quite hard to use your head to spin on bunny hops unlike in the air. It is mainly technique. Well that's how i do them.
Barbra
I can do them perfect now..Towards the end of the day..(when my cam battery died) i was getting them perfect.EDIT: check the little wheels thread. poopipe
eskimo's bored shitless of me ranting about frames so I figured I'd ask for a few more opinions...tt length : of 20.6 ish or a little bit higher- no more than 2.8 cs length : of 13.75 ishweight : no more than 5.3 lbs, i require a weenie frame cos i'm old and my arms are tiredheadangle : 74.5price : taiwanbb height : nothing weirdcurrent candidates include inertia hades, WTP ovoid, mutiny sinisterit must accept the (ab)use of several pegs, it must not break and it must not be redideally available in brakeless (not bothered really but it does loook nicer) , ideally black or other such streety colour.suggestions (bearing in mind I've pretty much settled on the hades)? poopipe
phoenix pro? pretty sure it matches up to that. Mine feels well nice It's true but I couldn't bring myself to buy any WTP other than the ovoid, there's something inherently boring about them that I can't quite stomach.edits::I'm starting to really like the look of the new colony frameshitsomebody talk me back into the ovoid, it's a hundred quid cheaper Edited June 19, 2007 by poopipe
Mark W
Sinisters are damn good frames, so may be worth a look? Saying that, the WTP Phoenix frames are pretty hot too. Someone's probably mentioned them already - but Sunday? 8mm hollow dropouts = I <3 UR P3GZ, they weigh nothing, and last for forever and have a super good warranty. Can't remember what TT size they do in your bracket, but they'd be well worth a look.

Something about the ovoid appeals but i'm a little nervous of going to a shorter frame with a higher BB in case it feels all stumpy - what sort of effect do you reckon an 11.8 bb going to have on the ride as opposed to an 11.5? edits/musings:the hades has 8mm dropouts too - and it only weigh 4.5 lbs I'm so confused.
