new question.....cranks, whats hot and whats not? The frame will have a mid bb, do the bearings come with the cranks or frame, or do they need buying seperatly?

choose cranks then demand the appropriate BB from the bike shop

if you're a weight weenie homo get some profiles (or madera if you have more sense than money - not that im stereotyping :- )

if you're street to the core get some power/hollowbites - they do not break (for a few years anyway)

otherwise...

I like the look of the WTP royals. I'm not convinced by the shadow conspiracy ones, definitely not convinced by the Fly cranks and if you read up a few posts you'll see OBMs post on why you should wait before buying wombolts.

personally - I'd wait a few months and see what develops with the wombolts - they're a good idea in principle so if they get it right i think they're onto a real winner.

If you've already killed some cranks you probably want to be going down the power/hollowbite route or seriously reconsidering your approach :D

Whats the word on the Sunday Wave 07 frames? I've heard a lot of good stuff about them as to being real good quality and very strong, but just wondering if anyone knows much more about them, and is the gurantee they have really as good as it sounds?

Basically i'm shifting a few old things at home, and i should hopefully get enough money to be able to get a new frame, so i've been looking about and i've always liked the Sunday Wave, i was also looking at the Fit Hawk, but after reading some rather shite reviews about it being dent crazy and the like, i kinda' got put off.

And if i do get one, i'm currently running a 20.75"tt, but it does feel a bit long for some things, so if i was to get a Sunday i was thinking about the 20.5"tt size and i'm about 5 foot 7 (maybe a little more), so does that sound about right?. I know a lot of it is about feel, but its the first time i'd be buying a frame where i can choose the top tube length, so i'm a bit uncertain.

And finally, does the Sunday come in a no brake lugs option?

Cheers for the time :) .

you could get the old sundays in brakeless if you looked hard enough so theyll probably do the new ones.

tt length wise.

your current frame's a 20.75 with 13.75 back end right ? perfect for me at 6' - 6'1"

I find a 20.5 a bit cramped at the front end but i'm a few inches taller than you so you'd most likely be pretty happy on one. Try to get a go on a four seasons or something - they're about that sort of length

Are you sure yours is too long at the front? try bashing the back wheel forward an 1/8th of an inch or so and see how that feels (baggy chains are street (Y) ) I find a frame that's a little too short is less comfortable to ride than one that's a little too long

---

ooh yeah. I stuck a couple of spacers back into the Geisha and I'm in love. safely turning out of high speed fakies ***!!!!

Yeah it is that size i think. It does just feel a tad long yeah, but then i don't really have much to compare it with. The wheel is slammed now as well, but i just think i might feel more comfortable on something slightly shorter really, like with my frame some moves feel a bit more of an effort (like spins), but then it isn't that light anyway. Plus i like a nice responsive bike, and one that spins easy.

As for blagging rides on some other similar geometry wise frames, no can do around here, there really isn't any bmxers close to where i live (apart from the ones that ride down to the car parks to go do some weed).

Just rung Alans as well, apparently they don't do brakeless versions, but i swear Dan's comp get them in brakeless, although maybe it's more sensible to get one with lugs, 'cause then if i go down to the local trails spot, i can whack a brake on and ride, instead of sitting and complaining i want to go ride street ^_^

Im 6 foot 1 and i've got a 20.5 TT with no problems and your a few inches smaller so im sure you'd be fine.

Try and go to a decent indoor skatepark, (if there's one near you) where there's bound to be some bmx'ers and try and blag a go on theirs.

WTP Royals are really nice/smooth/reliable cranks Ti axle available

Primo Hollow's also has Ti axle available. Although waiting for the new ones, they look sick.

KHE Hiddenburg's, what i run. Uber light.

Eastern Ti cranks :-

Frame 20.75 or 20.5 all the way imo.

The United frame is brakeless. I think it had a 75 degree headangle as well. Looks really nice.

Also the new Black bike V2 looks very nice.

And L.A.F ^_^

Also i think Sunday are pretty decent on warranty. Odyssey, i've heard no problems with replacing ANY product with a 41 thermal guranttee.

the united has a 14 inch backend I think - far too long for a frame that short.

If you want light and you're pegless I reckon the inertia hades is an excellent choice - its a really, really nice riding frame, comes in brakeless and at least some of the money makes it back to england

Did someone have some Scerbo bars that they didn't like/want a while back?

mr hardman had some a few months back - cut down a bit. He's probably sold em by now

other bars - federal lites seem alright, they're a sensible size & shape and seem to take reasonable levels of abuse (had em 9 months or so but i'm not a bike chucker)

Don't suppose i can fit my onza shin digs to the WTP Royal cranks? I need to ride but its gonna take me like 3 weeks to get everything finished off, if i can use them pedals then my Dad can lend me the rest of the money :)

I'm sick of weekends doing nothing :(

i need to get my hombre but ONZABOYMARK didn't reply to my pm about him selling his :(

Hey dude,

Didn't realise I had that PM from you, fricking stupid PM messagey thing... Apologies! Brake's all here, exactly as I took it off (incl. tape wrapped around end knarp + brake arm to make it silent), so yeah, we're good to go. If you can wait that long, I'm gonna be going to the DJ ride so I can give it you then?

Call it £15...
