A!!
to be honest I think Mark's reasons are better. I'll probably build it myself anywayI still don't know whether to do it or not for these reasons...I don't like brown It's right hand drive, I grind on the right, I don't like replacing sprocketsI'd have to buy a 25t sprocket cos they don't come in 11t I'll go get one on Monday or something - pretty sure Billys have got some in at the moment. sprocket wise... anyone heard bad things about the odyssey MDS? I quite like the look of the double guardinessedit::right - I've just been investigating the geisha. can one of you please explain how the studs work ?haha yeah they are, but i'd thought i'd try bulk the list out a bit more to persuade you As for the stud system i couldn't of really put it any better than Mark did. But it is insanely simple to do once you've done it once or had it explained (even doing it the first time doesn't really take much brain power at all), so taking it apart then servicing it isn't really a problem. eskimo
No freecoaster action Mark But those spots, oh god, give them to me As were on the talk of hubs right now and freecoasters probably aren't going to benefit me i'm not sure on what new rear hub to get. As i end up riding ramp alot and street spots are very limited a freecoaster isn't on the cards anymore.Any views on hubs at the moment, like the WTP new one? poopipe
the WTP with the outside pawl arrangements looks to be exactly the same as the new shadow rant and a couple of other "revolutionary" hubs with outside pawl arrangements that are all coming out at the moment. I'm sure they're fine I just get a bit wary when several different people start bringing the same revolutionary stuff out at the same time - it smells like catalogue parts to me.I've never had a single problem with my Hazard - even after i got spraypaint in the ratchet bits. Why do so few people seem to run hazards?

Like Proper etc.Anyway off to Newport now. Was anyone at Epic, Bham yesterday? Or whats to meet up for a ride there soon?
Mark W
Shadow aren't doing that version of the Rant any more, to my knowledge, because you basically have to buy the rights to use the Q-Lite stuff, or at least credit them. WTP did, and as such, they're using them. James has had his on the back now for quite a while, and it appears to be pretty f**king awesome. It's a super nice hub, really compact, sounds reliable, and he's had 0 problems with it.Eskimo - what d'you mean 'no freecoaster action'? There was more stuff involving it, but that's going in the DVD, plus I've already filmed a load of backwards stuff so I wanted to get some other shit in too.Either way, come to London and I'll show you all of 'em. Mark W
Slack* I run mine with all the spacers out. It makes life way easier when you start doing fakie hops, half cabs and full cabs down stuff, plus on stuff like fakie manuals it gives you a bit more lee-way. You get used to gap really quickly too, I don't really notice it at all any more.

Which is annoying. I want 12t.It's just i didn't see anything in the vid which involved fakie stuff. Well not manuals, hops or anything. But if it's saved for the dvd, thats cool.Is that an invite, it isn't too far either. Would love to ride some decent street (well stuff that i'm not bored of). A!!
how baggy do you like your Geishas?I have all the spacers out on mine too, and then i've flipped the washer around so mine is set to maximum slack. Check out the KHE website, then tech support section for a guide on it.

Check out the KHE website, then tech support section for a guide on it.hit a minor problem here.i cant get the bloody driver out.I assume I unscrew it anti clockwise cos it loosens off the whole thing an di can pop the bearings out of the hubshell but I'm buggerd if i can get the driver off the axle.help ? I just sat here and built the wheel in one sitting so this is really getting on my titsedit::oh right. nevermind, you just have to man it out. Mark W
It can be a fanny. What you can do though is get the actual socket arm from a socket set, then place that on the end of the axle, then gently tap that through. If you don't just pound the fanny out of it, it gently spins the driver and pushes the axle out. Then, you often just get left with the driver still screwed into the clutch which is relatively easy to sort out. Just make sure you grease the f**k out of everything. You have to do it quite often when it's relatively new as it beds in. You'll know when to - it'll feel like shit.Get them spacers out
poopipe
job done, greasier and slacker than the oldest hooker in a whorehouse now I just wait for my new sprocket and I can start going backwards really bloody quickly. I'm tempted to just whack it on the bike and run 30-9 for a day or two but I'm also knackered and my fingers hurt so I won'tooh, word to the wise. despite all evidence to the contrary you probably want 183 or 184mm spokes to build a geisha onto a 48 hole hazard lite 4 cross. I only got 2 1/2 turns in before things got proper tight with 182mm jobs. nice and true thoughoh, and halo spokes are a bit shit

This weekend hopefully be going to Stoke-on-trent.I almost literally couldn't be more central. I live in the very centre of London, by the Waterloo/Westminster area. In fact, to give you an idea, streetmap Waterloo Station - I live on the road that's on, to the South. About 2mins ride from Southbank. If you're coming from the west on the M4, you stay on the M4 until it becomes the A4, then join the Ring Road (A302) to get to Westminster, then go round places like Parliament Square, over Westminster Bridge and you're basically at my house. It's really easy to get to
eskimo
make it easy... it this one >>> - a few decent attempts and a crash I can't view it as i'm not you friend or some bullshit. I went to sleep last night before you replied, sorry.Okay i'll explain this way. Simply hit the wall fast and horizontal so you end up having to tuck to suck the impact. *Try not to carve so much but hit the wall fairly dead on. Then you will already be preloaded. Simply pull away and back on yourself. Rather than trying to flow off it. Try also kicking your legs when at a 90degree position.Hopefully that helped, a little. Why do people come down when i don't have a bike. ffsIf your ever down when i do have a bike drop me a pm lolI'll be on the bmx.
