CurtisRider
Go with that if it feels good. I found that it hurts my back somehow. I think maybe the long tt is too much effort for lifting and manuals.how tall are you if you mind me asking?
eskimo
how tall are you if you mind me asking?Of course i mind you asking, how dare you?! 6 foot 2. My mate has a 21" tt Hidden Nation and he always gets back problems. But he doesn't bend his knees enough. He's so rigid on his bmx thats why i think he gets a bad back. I moved to stock a few weeks ago (toxsin one) and find it so much easier to ride that my Echo Lite. I can do everything so much easier. Sidehops go bigger but i don't believe it's to do with my size just the way i ride. So i don't think tt length makes all that much difference to be honest when it comes to size. Sponge
Hey Paul, I'm just curious about your frame-foldage. What is it exactly? The impression I got before was of the downtube denting, and then then the toptube curving or something as a consequence of irregular tubular energy transfer? (shit, that sounds techy ), anyway, I'm just curious to know what the typical frame-damage deaths are on a BMX as opposed to trials frames, so I know what to look out for and what's not so wise to do here and there. The impression I always got from BMX riders talking was that downtube-denting seemed far more of a big deal than on trials frames. True? Or a sack of poop? poopipe
sack of poop probablygiven that they're made of above average quality steel and trials bikes are made of shite quality cheese.

A!!
With these freeroller hubs or whatever they are, when bunnyhopping going backwards do they do it normally or bring up the back wheel first.Just curious. You can do them either way really with freecoasters. But if you watch riders like Bruce Crisman where he fakie bunnhops a silly amount of stairs they do it the normal way and bring the front up first as you get lots more height and its easier, but yeah you can do it the other way like nose manual a bit then hop, but it is much harder to get height that way. A!!
where can i get bob bars in the ukHere: Source Bmx I can't give you the exact link 'cause of the way their webpage works, but just put scerbo into the search bar or go through the menu. And i just noticed for anyone that is consider getting a freecoaster, alans now do a wheel build with a geisha street laced to a primo balance rim (in 36h or 48h) with your choice of spokes and a free innertube and rim tape, bargain: Alan's bmx

poopipe
okfootjammy nosepicky thingsI've got the first half sorted onto things like kerbs but I'm a bit confused about riding out of them. I figure I just lean back in, hop, turn a bit and make my best effort to get foot back onto pedal but the back end keeps trying to come out ahead of the front (so i'd be landing sort of backwards if I could actually get the foot back onto the pedal in time)any handy hints? If your not on a bank it's obviously alot harder to roll away. But upon landing on your front foot first this should offer some kick through the back wheel. Maybe it's 'cause your hopping onto the pedals at the wrong time? When i do it i tend to hop off the wheel onto the pedals when the wheel reaches about 60degree away from me. With a flat bank one i tend to not lean in and just let the momentum of the back wheel help me spin the rest (after i hop off the wheel i tend to spin a little) I mean when i hop i tend to catch the pedals so the bike is a few inches off the floor which spins me that extra little round. But on a quarter (still haven't got one) i tend to lean in just to make sure i do get back in.
poopipe
oh righty.More turning in the noseypick then - I reckon I'll go sort of half-arsed canadian style rather than trying to stay parallel with the curb.I've stopped trying them on banks for a bit cos it's too easy to cheat that way
Brian Bleech
Brake Levers...I currently have a Sanfu c-lever - here and the lever blade is very uncomfortable! so whats best...looking at Odyessy monolever - trigger maybeor some cheap tektro ones here - mainly because they are sprung loaded...other than that my first two hours of bmxing were fun
poopipe
the triggers are a bit weird feeling but they work good. i rode one for about 20 minutes before i decided to spray my brake black and never bothered to put it back on. just take the bugger off for a day or so and see how you like it
Mark W
Thinking about my current situation (lugless frame...) my brake is kinda redundant. As a result, if anyone wants a cheap, really nice brake system, they can buy mine? Diatech Hombre w/Fiesta pack, some Clarks pads that with a Himiko gave me a properly silent, 100% awesome brake, and a nice Odyssey Monolever small, with a white Linear Slic cable.£20? poopipe
I'll look forward to seeing your trials bike in for sale / wanted soon then question...why the hell don't my Homer bolts fit through the holes in my shadow pegs?
Mark W
Because they are Imperial sized bolts going through Metric sized holes, because G-Sport George is a tool.
poopipe
Because they are Imperial sized bolts going through Metric sized holes, because G-Sport George is a tool.ah - someone had to be a tool, not all that surprised it was george. I'll buy a file that fits in the hole then. these pegs are going to end up pretty badly mutilated what with the whole fitting them on the pitchforks episode a while backon a positive note - smoothest front hub ever!! and the wheel weighs almost exactly the same as my old one if not a little less.anyway - go look at my handiwork in the bike pics thread Edited April 26, 2007 by poopipe
Mark W
Yet another case of George f**king customers over by using what he believes to be the 'real standard' compared to the 'popular standard'... To the Bike Pics Thread!
