Mark W
Pedal pressure for me You can do it lawn-mower style if you want, aka the "shoe-fanu" I found as soon as I got wider bars I could hop a good few inches higher? Having said that, my wider bars were also higher bars, so that's probably the main reason. Either way, I still find I can hop higher on a bike with wider bars. I've seen people do the nicest tables, lookbacks and turn-downs with wide bars too...
A!!
Pedal pressure for me I was practicing that today on some banks. It does feel strange at first as the bike does move about slightly (rolling forward and backwards), but after a while i was doing them for as long as i could with a rear brake, and they feel much more fun to do, and you learn more bike control about balance points and using other methods instead of relying on brakes. It is definitely worth a go

Mark W
I've got my Hombre arms lying on the table next to me, so if you're a bit more specific of what you want from where, I'll sort ye out.

Thinking about it a couple more would be useful toopaint diagram coming up rightio - also does anyone know what the minimum distance 'd' can be for a front brake[attachmentid=8162]yeah this might be for the 24" just need rough ideas too see if it worth trying
Mark W
If it's for a front brake, go to G-Sport's site and check out his front brake. I'm hearing more and more people running them and saying they're good, and it's a shitload easier routing the front brake cable in the way he does it... www.gsportbmx.co.uk

poopipe
One odyssey elementary stem it seems the v2 is everywhere so don't panicI ordered whatever pijin had about 10 minutes after I posted, it turned up this morning (pijin ownzorerzeriungz10!011eleven!!) and has grooves on the bar clamp face so I assume its the v2. £39 as opposed to the £45 everyone else is charging (woo!) and look at how fast it turned up!!Having taken it apart I finally understand why people bothered to make Ti bolts for them - the big steel one weighs more than any other individual part. I'm hearing more and more people running them and saying they're good, and it's a shitload easier routing the front brake cable in the way he does it... www.gsportbmx.co.ukso I would have to go back to canti's! I had a real problem with snapping straddle cables back int day. I wonder is I use a london mod on the front :wizard: But the avid shorty is a sweet brake and I could use vee pads! I would have to find a way stop the outer cable at the top too, but the routing looks ace
poopipe
if you're worried about running v's on the front with regard to barspins etc. then don't...I used to run a standard sized dia-compe V on the front of my bmx with a gyro years ago and had no trouble at all with clearance. You just to turn the noodle upside down, bend it a bit and route the cable through the steerer tube as you would with a U brake. it worked fine for me

Always felt a bit crap! May try again...may as well get a whole new front brake if I do that too, my current one is pretty buggeredI did run a cane creek vee which has no noodle and that felt good, but broke in a couple of months because they were pretty shitty quality, expecially the springs....plus I wouldn't mind running/trying something different just because..i suppose i could run the same setup but with a U-brake

Jaffacakes
I have a tricky predicament...I have this hub and I just bought an odyssey 13t freewheel. I didnt think until now that it probebly wont fit. So will it fit or have I just thrown my money down a drain?Oh yeah, the hub has a flip flop thread on the left of it and until I get my 16t freeewheel off I dont know what thread on the right. Im guessing standard.
