stav
I did 2 grinds wit a metal cuttin disc and a stone cutting disc, they came out exactly the same and well good go for the metal one! Stav

Trials Punk
Stone cutting disc (Y) Thats what I use, put the wheel in a vice, and spin the wheel the direction of the disk rotation and it ends up minted.
dan_welshriders
I used a pover drill with a corse sanding disc and just placed it on the rim. the spinning of the disc will spin the wheel giving you an even grind. this method only gives you a gentle grind and doesn't eat your pads in 5min of riding. BONGO
a cutting disc is best, but watch you don't press onto the rim so that the disc bends cos they can shatter. also, stone cutting discs can shatter when used on metal. if there is a chance of it happening, is it worth the risk? john
Janson
Metal cutting disc (Y) Can give everything from a light grind (currently on one) to a super-duper harsh, "cheese grater" effect grind (previous grind)... Just watch them pads (Y)
trials_god_2000
stone cutting disc is what I use. just have to be careful like bongo said.
trialskid
Just watch them pads (Y) ??? why janson?? I just got one from b&q for ÂŁ1.75 ahaha it does and I bodged it onto the end of a drill (Y) works, I dunno if I like the feel of the grind though I have koxx bloxxs and it feels strange, I prefered monty pads on a smooth rim, but they were crap in the wet, ah well just use the koxx ones for now :D

mark-399
its easyer to use a stone cutter because a stone one can cut metal and stone but a metal one can only cut metal. metalcutter = only metal stone cutter = stone and metal it means if you hit the stone floor then its not gona brake into a tousand pieces
Janson
how many light grinds could I get out of a koxx 20" rim?my dad wants to know before I grind josh 10-20 I reckon.. Which equals about 2-5 years worth of grinds. You'd buckle the rim to death before the grinds kill it :(
Lewis Poyntontrials.com
I'm not sure why you have made a new topic when you could just have posted about what disc in the FAQ thread.
