POE deception?!?

I've noticed some companies listing the POE of their hubs in relation to certain gear ratios and not as an absolute number. POE is completely independent of any gearing. How many times does the hub engage per 360 degree revolution of the hub. That's it. Listing your POE in a gear ratio is just dishonest. I've never seen any other company do this except trials companies. What's up with that?

Clean and Comas are doing this for their new pointless 120mm hubs. I hadn't considered that they would be comparing it to FFW setups. That does make a little sense then. BUT nowhere in the description do they state just the hubs POE. It's easy math to figure it out, but I'm still calling it deceptive.

Can you imagine if Industry 9 listed their POE in relation to a 32x11 MTB ratio?
