Mikee
I'm a bit out of the loop, but building a bike for the first time in a few years and need some advice. What are some good all round 26" tyre for the rear? I'm probably going to be riding a bit more natural than street, so towards that end of the spectrum would be nice. Any suggestions? Swoofty
Maxxis Ikon should definitely be on the list. Comes in several width and casing versions for 26", but they can be pricey.
Ross McArthur
Cant really beat a DH Maxxis DHF or a Minion/DHRii for the back of the bike you're building. If it was more pure trials id be saying a Clean Koala or a Vee tyre would be best bet. The Ikon is nice for a front tyre or a rear if set up tubeless with an insert on a street bike. La Bourde
Maxxis DHR, DHF are not rolling well, aren't they? Why not consider a high roller II with DH or double down casing? Not sure they are still available in 26".
aener
I've not come across other people using them, but I really can't rate the Maxxis Aggressor highly enough. Really nice grip, very forgiving in terms of fold, feels less squirmy than others because of the tread pattern, and basically never pinches even if you're a rough, fat load like me. I got the Exo one, just for pinch protection, and it's great for an all-rounder.
