Neither on the classic one on my wheels for enduro/DH. The steel outer ring slips within the hub shell, right? Like with your first one? Is the hub shell cracked? Who laced the wheel? Reputable Bicycle shop here What was the spoke tension? not sure but I asked the shop to lace the spoke professionally, since the charge is a bit pricey.... La Bourde Posted November 4, 2024 Report Share Posted November 4, 2024 Maybe Hope had a bad batch and this hub landed on the grey market. Today I saw a video about Hope counterfeit cranks (in French else I would have share). Difficult to tell the difference until they crack. He notable differences were: - one part was not anodised but is anodised one the genuine ones - the label of the crank length is lasered instead of CNC'd - the axle machined in a slightly different way. I did claimed for the first time, Hong Kong Authorized Dealer was cool.... But did not expect the same failure with the replacement hub.... yoda Posted December 27, 2024 Report Share Posted December 27, 2024 Just had the same happen with my Hope Pro 4. Also note the cracks to the spoke holes. This is on an Inspired Hex Team build less than three years old. Hope told me out-of-luck because I bought second hand (from older beginner who rode it twice) and it's beyond their two-year warranty. I'm only a beginner+ rider 84kg and over 40 years old. What is a good replacement? Something high quality and strong and not Hope? Looking at I9 Hydra, Chris King but can't find in 12x135. When the spoke tension is too high, some cracks can appear, but mostly on the outside.
