isitafox
So I'm pretty sure everyone here has seen or heard of custom bike frames made using bamboo for the main tubes. Regularly see adverts for them on social media and occasionally get the odd review or magazine article about them but what really caught my eye a few minutes ago is this bad boy:- Discuss.... Swoofty
I love splinters on my inner legs! They're my favorite! I haven't exhausted the possibilities of carbon, aluminum and steel yet, I'm good. But, hey, designed it myself, grew it myself; that's a cool merit badge. cwtrials
Here's a link to the blog post on their website about the build. of course they title it a "trails bike" but it's there. Honestly, while I don't think I'd want one to be my main bike. I think building one could be super fun. Although I'd be more likely to build an all mountain hardtail than a trials bike.https://bamboobicycleclub.org/blogs/club-news/custom-trails-bike-by-anders
Maintenance Justice
I like the idea of being able to (relatively) cheaply mess with geometry. Be interesting to see how it takes the edge off harsh impacts. Also pretty exciting to ride a bike that could be eaten by Pandas.
