Sam Song
Does anyone have any experience with the Echo carbon disk 26 inch forks from back in 2015 with a straight steer tube? I don't believe Tarty carried these so I haven't seen a lot of people running these. I am wondering if i should spend a bit more money to get the tapered carbon disk forks from Crewkerz instead. Mark W
They didn't stock them separately but they were on some of the complete bikes they did. I don't think many people reported issues with them, but if you're in any way concerned about strength the Crewkerz forks are the way to go. They're more expensive, but you'd have to be going some to break them. The abuse they put up with from guys like Charlie and Jack is insane...
Swoofty
+1 for the Crewkerz fork. One of the most gorgeous forks I've ever seen. I was in the same spot as you, I considered the Echo, but couldn't find one that wasn't astronomically priced. I went with a Born carbon fork, but upgraded to the Crewkerz pretty quickly. I didn't find anything wrong with the Born, I just wanted the tapered steerer and the 9mm through axle on the WAW.
