Axiu
Hi all. I've bought a bike that has been spray painted black, but I would like to restore the original paint. I've tried to use acetone so far and although it's pretty fast to do I am having issues with removing it where the bike was scratched. Can I sand it down with 1500-2000 grit or what's the best way to get the job done? Any better alternatives to acetone? Thanks
Stephen Morris
I’ve always used Nitromors, but expect that would remove ALL paint, not just a single layer. I’ve limited experience here, but assume a better result would be achieved by stripping all the paint and completely respraying.
Al_Fel
That looks like crappy poundland spray paint. Maybe you could try using some kind of buffer to buff the crappy paint off and hopefully it wont damage the proper paint?
