PeekingDuck
After 15 years or so away from trials, I am back. Having just bought a Czar Ion 24 from Tarty Bikes, I’ve been practicing in my front garden (Manchester) and well I am bad ha. Anyone else Manchester based fancy riding together? It took me a few days to get some balance and begin hopping on my back wheel but now I am having massive issues hopping down stairs or concrete blocks/steps. It would be great to hear from others who’ve just started back!
TomWood
I’ve just started back up too after moving to Bentham, about an hour north of you. I never stopped playing around while on my mountain bike, but I’m hoping to put more of a focus on progression again with a more purpose built bike. That’s all I have to say for now, but let me know how your progression goes.
Tom_C
Hi mate, Similar story as I stopped riding trials in 2006, tried again a few years ago but didn't have time. Now just ordered a Czar Ion so when it arrives I'll soon realise how much there is to catch up on I'm sure. Keep up the good effort, nothing good ever came easy!
Rip
Just started again myself, haven't ridden trials for about 20 years! I'm a young 39 now so figure I still have some trials years left in me. I also completely suck now, used to have no problem bouncing around on all manor of things and could manual until I ran out of momentum, not any more! It doesn't help that bike geometry has changed so much in the last 20 years. Like you I've been playing in my garden so hopefully it'll slowly come back to me.
