QUAID
My son wants to get into trials. I don’t want to spent too much on one yet just in case he gives up quickly. He’s 5ft 9 and just under 13st. I’ve been offered this bike for £115. I’ve been told it’s a 2015 model and that the geometry specs are Wheelbase 995mm BB + 55mm Rear construction 355mm Head angle 71 ° Would this be a good bike to start him out on Thanks
isitafox
Yeah it's a decent enough starter bike but the only downside is it's not very upgrade friendly. If he got into it you'd be looking at upgrading to a slightly better bike with 19" rear wheel and the option for hydraulic rim/disc brakes but at that price I can't imagine you'd lose much money selling especially on something like ebay. Or you could outlay a bit more to start with and buy a bike with 19" wheel and decent brakes which if he gets into it would last longer with the potential for upgrades. Depends how much you want to spend.
QUAID
Thanks for the advice. I’ll see what else is about. At least I now know something that size won’t be too small for him.
