rootKitVS
Hello riders, I just received my new front brake ( https://www.seriousconnection.com/Files/86804/Img/10/TR17BRLESPORTL_1x300.jpg ) but I have a problem mounting it. There is a sort of insert ( https://www.trialprod.com/2528-thickbox_default/barbed-fitting-for-hs33-or-echo-rim-brakes.jpg ) which is it, but I can't get to fit it in the magura cable (hs33), any solutions ? I even tried with a vice but the insert just don't wan't to go into the cable, and when I'm pushing it with a hammer it just cut the cable off. Any help ? Thx ! Mark W
Hose clamping blocks are really useful - the Magura official blocks look like this, but you can make your own in a similar way: To help align the hose, if you have an old spoke, simply cut the spoke down about 70-80mm from the end of the threaded section. Then, wind a nipple onto the spoke. You can then slide the barbed fitting from the Trialtech lever onto the spoke and have it against the nipple. The hose then goes onto the hose. This helps line the barbed fitting into the hose properly, so you can hit down onto the nipple with a hammer and force it in that way. Hopefully this makes sense, it's tricky to explain without photos!
rootKitVS
Ok I think I got it! I'm gonna try it in 9hours since I'm at school right now. I'll give you a feedback, thank you!
rootKitVS
Thanks a lot ! The method with the old spoke and the nipple worked like a charm after 150~ hits with my hammer. And now, let's enjoy riding ! Thx again !
