Ben Swales
I've not signed up to Ard Rock, but am doing the Ard Moors a couple of weeks later. Really looking forward to it! A few friends did the shorter Ard Moors last year and loved it. They said it wasn't too hard on the legs and were raving about all the stages they rode. Their tips: take more water than you think you need, take it steady on the liaisons and get plenty of base miles on the bike before you go. Have fun - let us know how it goes! MadManMike
A few of my mates are doing it. It's apparently good fun and not too hardcore. I haven't signed up, but it's an event I'd like to do in future.
Ben Swales
@Davetrials How did you get on?

MadManMike
One of my friends did it in 30 mins. I asked how it was and he said "great, you'd have hated it" haha
trialsalot
I went for a neb about there to take in the atmosphere and it was great. Its not my sort of deal but I'll be booking my spot for next year for sure. Glad you enjoyed it Dave.
MadManMike
I'm hoping to get up there next year and take photos, if I can find a good spot to camp out.

Davetrials
Theres photographers everywhere, all the 130,000 are uploaded to roots and rain and they charge around 6 quid a photo, see if you can get involved in that, or go private and sell photos for 3 quid? i was thinking about doig that next year on the sunday, ive also forgotten how to use a camera though.. MadManMike
Yeah I signed up to roots and rain already One of my friends that did the event sent me a link to all the photos he was tagged in, thought it would be worth getting involved! It's good that the site covers loads of different events too, so I'll try and get out & about to some local-ish ones soon! I wonder what % they charge the photographer. Davetrials
Not sure! but £5-6 quid seems pretty steep for a digital file.. Mine are still being tagged this long after the event, so im going to buy one, but wait in case a banger pops up haha
Ben Swales
Is anyone doing Ard Moors this weekend? I'll be there with a few pals - silver Airdrop bike, white & grey Fox full face lid - be cool to say hi if anyone's there.
Davetrials
Id love to if i was back in the north, im not sure what the format is? is there an event village, or more of a traditional Enduro race?
Ben Swales
Same deal as Ard Rock, I think - it's the same organisers.
