Pea Green Pete
Was Ashton's frame quite short or is it just the angle of the photos that make it look that way?
Ross McArthur
They got progressively longer, higher and slacker. The silver one was 1020ish WB. In saying that, they didn't get slacker till the mk3 protos when Ali got his say. Better for roll downs I seem to remember.

Pea Green Pete
I didn't know that Orange were involved in the Ashton products. Going back to the geometry side of things, does anyone know what the wheelbase of the old Cannondales Martyn used to ride were?

Stephen Morris
Great topic, cheers for going to the trouble of posting. Is it me or did trials used to be ‘cooler’ for want of a better word and a bit more raw back in the day?

isitafox
Hip hop was after my time Really makes me want a 26 with a seat reading these, watched GET2 the other day and was wondering what half these guys are doing nowadays? Is Jack Meek still a brand or has he turned back into a person?? Sure I saw he was doing something like landscape gardening???

Less trials, more MTB nowadays - probably still has a rig, but the scene died out in Reading a little while back
Tony Harrison
If I visit my parents over xmas I must dig out the articles I promised to this thread. Sorry Ross for letting the side down!!
Tony Harrison
I'm about to start posting some articles. They span 1994 to 2002, so chronologically they sit before most of what's already been posted. They are only a selection from that time, just the issues I happen to have. Mostly the scans should be good because I did them with a flatbed, but occasionally edges are blurred where they didn't sit flat, but all should be readable. Pages should also be in order. Anything out of order or too blurry, let me know and I will try to correct.
