Hidie
Me and my dad recently acquired a old Ty80b, and after cleaning it up we are now stuck because we don't know what oil we should use and where to put it. The bike needs oil for the transmission, we *think* that we need to use 80w gear oil, but we don't know. Then their is a small oil tank that sits under the seat, and we don't know what to put in it. We can't tell what was in it originally, but in the transmission we found ATF fluid. I have asked around and their's no trend, so when I went to the internet everything there was also conflicting. So if you know, or have an idea on what I should use I'd love to hear it. Thank you.
Dazza1414
Wrong type of trials website, this is for pedal pushers. Go to trials central. You should find your answer on there. Very friendly site and always happy to help people out! Pretty sure most people remove the oil tank and pre mix the fuel.

Scott B
Crankcase (500cc) should be moto 10w-30 and the other is for the 2-stoke oil injection. Like Dazza said you can eliminate the injection and just run pre-mix. The injection works pretty good when fully functional. It was a similar setup on my 72 yamaha R-5 350cc two stroke. But yeah this place is for pedals mostly! I hope someone didn't put ATF in there but hey, you never know. I would do a few rapid oil changes if that's the case!
