MadManMike
Afternoon TF crew! Anyone with a lathe able to assist? I have an MX-5 gear shifter that I'd like modified. If you look at the top one in this photo: I need the fat part of the stick turned down a bit, so that it's the same diameter as the section just below the thread. See attached crude MS Paint job for a better idea of what I'm trying to achieve, though I'd like it machined a bit better than that Can anyone do this? MadManMike
I forgot to update this thread. Apparently it's actually two pieces, held together with a rubber damper? In which case, I'll just chop the top off. Some people said that the bar inside is already threaded, so I can just remove the top section, then screw on my extender and gear knob - job done! Thanks though mate
