Slowro
I've had enough bad luck with buying the wrong crap before so I'll skip it this time. Is this an echo freewheel? I can't see the other side. Can a normal 4 pin tool loosen it off? e.g ice tools It doesn't move too freely, any tips on servicing?
BJ.
That is an echo freewheel. A normal 4 prong tool will work but I'd recommend nut and bolting it through the crank hole and clamping the tool In a vice. As for servicing, undo the lock ring, make sure you have a container ready for when all the bearings fall out. Flush it out with some form of meth' spirits. Grease the bearing race and reassemble.
Mark W
It looks pretty rusty - usually just some lube will sort out most Echo freewheels like that in terms of freedom of movement. They come virtually dry from the factory so are more susceptible to dirt/moisture and so on than most other freewheels are.
