niconj
I was looking into bars and the Arcade seem to be the choice for 24'' street bikes. I came around the Bonz Prolight and it seems to have almost the identical measurements. Would it be a good choice to buy it? It's cheaper than the Arcade which seems to be a bit overpriced in my opinion. The difference is 1° more Upsweep, 10mm less rise and 20mm less width. What do you recon? What about the difference in the material? Arcade 7050-T6: Geometry: - Upsweep: 4° - Backsweep: 9° - Total rise: 102mm - Width: 730mm (28.35") Bonz 7075-T6 Geometry: - Upsweep: 5° - Backsweep: 9° - Total rise: 90mm - Width: 710mm (28.35") Edited October 6, 2016 by niconj
niconj
I tried my photoshop skills. Arcade in red. Looking at the picture it shouldn't make much of a difference geometry wise. The Bonz is a bit steeper where the grips go but it seems to be only by a margin. I don't grip on the very outside of the bars either. The further in, the less the difference is noticeable, but this is just theory. AdamR28
Couple of things... . What's the weight of the Bonz bar? The published geometry of the Bonz bar won't be correct (as you've shown with your Photoshop).
niconj
Bonz claims 375. The Photoshop might be incorrect. I don't know whether the pictures from above are taken from the very front. The Bonz should be lower in my photoshop.
AdamR28
Should be similar strength then, in theory at least.
niconj
Had a quick look. In theory 7075oat the more durable material.

Kushagra Rastogi
7050 vs 7075 according to this there is little bit strength difference and 7075 have much more weight handling power.
AdamR28
Yes. But there are loads of other factors to consider.

I just ordered them for about half the price of the arcades. As I don't have any real comparison I probably cannot say whether they are any better or worse than the Truvativ Holzfeller the bike comes with.
Dman
The truvativ are awful, you will tell if you ride both.

I won't even be riding the Truvativ and mount the Bonz right away. I won't be able to tell whether the Bonz are on par with the Arcades... JJ Leigh
Both bars are just as good as eachother to be honest, Personally with Bonz they feel a bit better on longer frames is what I've found (sweep is different, could be placebo but i just like them) and the "taper" they have makes them feel almost stiffer (again, could just be me) BUT, as a rule of thumb for me I'll stick with arcade risers. More reassuring seeing much more people use them, plus out of the two, and trialtech high risers, they feel the best regardless of what angle I have them on my Skye (i've used all three on more than one bike, as well as mine) Again that's only my opinion. If I were you though go for the arcades, being wider by default means more leeway should you want/need to cut them down shorter too. always a plus side.
