Big G
Picked this up last week second hand. Was a steel. After been of a trials bike for around 5years. I couldn't wait to get back on it. And after around half hour. I was back up-to speed. PS. Now has a grind on the rear.

niconj
Pretty simple. Get some caustic soda, put a lot of it into a bowl with warm water and hold your rims in there for a couple of seconds. Wash it off with a cloth and clean water. Repeat if necessary. Don't let it in there too long or you won't have a rim anymore. Don't let it get into your bearings either. I got it of Amazon. Natriumhydroxid, dunno what it is called in English other than caustic soda. If you need a rear tyre, I've got a Schwalbe Fat Albert in 24'' I'm willing to part with. ogre
wilkos do it; it's with the drain unblocking chemicals... you can get stuff re-anodised quite cheaply too if you don't want raw parts afterwards.

Pretty difficult for rims though if you don't have the tools.

ooo
Looking sweet, also I found that you can paint rims really nice if you use enamel spray paint, the normal spray for cars and stuff chips badly and looks terrible but the enamel is really thick, glossy and nice. It is a bit harder to spray though because it's prone to runs and drips more so just go easy.
Big G
Yep I have sprayed the stuff for a radiator. It did run like hell. Will just buy black rims

niconj
I don't like the look of the stem. A new Echo TR 150x30 would fit perfectly. Also the silver spacer... other than that, it's a nice looking bike.
Big G
Yer don't want to get rid of the spacer till I decide what stem to get in case it's not a sloping one then I still have room. Also I'm going to be getting a new front brake soon. That don't seem to cut the mustard

Big G
Ant a clue. I'm old school so as long as its strong and don't break it's fine. Lol.
niconj
With these tires it should be around 8.8kg.
