87Monty
Does any know if the Jitsie reverz tire 20" or 19" have better damping than the pro race tyres? i love to run low tire pressure in front and rear tyre so i have a good damping, 0.7-0.8 bar in rear, (don`t remember front right now) but not even Close to hit the rim etc With creepy crawler tires or monty eagle claw v1 in low pressures than pro race tyres in lower pressure,,and i hate to run with much air pressure... maybe they are just like that cause they are thinner and lighter? is it the same With Jitsie reverz too if any have experience both types? thanks Edited July 20, 2016 by 87Monty
87Monty
Now they begin to sell a New pro race tire in 19" and 20" ... With New logo.. lol, and i think a upgraded sidewall. "- New ProRace V2 19” rear tyre, a novelty on the ProRace range of Spanish brand Monty. - Now featuring the new ProRace V2 graphics in white, grey and orange, along the lines of the most recent Monty products. - Since it’s been specially designed for trials, this tyre probably has the best compromise between durability, grip and lightness. - Uses a soft compound developed by Monty, which guarantees high traction and minimum rebound to provide the best stability and grip on all terrains and weather conditions. - Features the new 1PCO technology, which uses a double sidewall to improve their stiffness, providing unmatchable stability when riding on the back wheel. - The tread pattern is identical to the original ProRace 19” tyres, with widely spaced, low-profile square knobs that avoid mud from getting stuck between them. - Both the central and side knobs feature micro-drillings that help remove even the last unnecessary gram. - Folding construction means it saves a lot of weight and also absorbs impacts’ energy much more efficiently, which helps avoid punctures. - 2.60” wide (66mm), compatible with most 19” rear rims. - Available in black, with silver, white and orange Monty ProRace V2 graphics on the sidewall. - Note: only the tyre is supplied. Does not include the rim or rim tape shown in the pictures." Edited July 21, 2016 by 87Monty
Mark W
According to Monty the only change is a different logo. The sidewalls are the same as they were before - Trial-Bikes were using that description for the old tyres too. EDIT: To quote the message they sent to dealers: "Monty is glad to launch the new ProRACE tyres 19" & 20". The main difference with previous ones is the new design: ProRACE orange graphics with a bolder look."
87Monty
Oh, ok, maybe because their New 26" tires have that logo`s then. haven`t they have the pro-race tire now for some years? or have they lost ideas to make a upgraded pro-race tire than just adding a New logo on it.. just woundering about that.. or maybe the threads are so good that it dont need to be more upgraded.. maybe it`s just me, but i would like to see New Products Edited July 22, 2016 by 87Monty
AdamR28
It costs shitloads to develop a new tyre. The current one works great, sells well, is light, cheap, grippy... I don't think may people will be able to help with your initial question, I can't think of anyone else who runs such low pressure.

Mark W
That's a "2.6" and a "2.0" on the bottom tyre, if that's what you mean? Basically, they created the 26" tyres and called them the "V2", then just switched those graphics onto the mod tyres too. Kind of weird, but Monty move in mysterious ways.
