Mark W
Just posted this on our Facebook page and thought I'd post it up here too. We just set these levers up on Jack Carthy's bike, and they're pretty dreamy. This is the second prototype we've helped him out with, and is essentially the production lever (although the production version's going to have some subtle tweaks/upgrades). They've been CAD and rider testing these for over a year now (Joe Prattley's also been using them), and they've been holding up really well. Some things to note: - The body is forged rather than CNC-machined, so it's quite a bit different to all the other ones out there. The photo doesn't really do the shape justice, they look really svelte/swoopy/nice. Additional bonus of them being forged is that it helps make the RRP lower than for an equivalent CNC body, without making an inferior product. - Wrap-around bar clamp is done so it's lighter and has much smoother/cleaner/lower profile edges to reduce knee smashing fun times. - Piston size/leverage ratio means that you can use a shorter blade and still get plenty of power. - This model features an IGUS pivot bushing which means the blade action is super smooth, but there's no play whatsoever in the lever. They feel seriously good! The pivot's held in place with a little grub screw, and also has a 'fail safe' O-ring in there so even if you somehow fired a grubscrew out mid-ride the pivot wouldn't hit the eject button. - The TPA shown here is just a Chorrillas one. Not 100% sure what the production one will be like, although I believe it's going to being indexed so that it won't wind off over time like normal threaded TPAs do.
AndyT
Mmmmm first magura add on that doesn't look like some drag queen mixed with an F1 car doing poppers and snorting speed off of large dicks in a dark alley of the red light district. Very nice looking... Very nice indeeeed.. Love every Trialtech product I've ever had, can imagine this to be good as well.

Can I borrow that for our product description when they come out, please?

cwtrials
What size piston does it use?
Mark W
I think it's 13mm.
JKH
Not to be a downer, but using a barbed fitting there is not the smartest thing to do. Also, the brake lever cannot be changed without taking the grips off. This could have been prevented by using the Avid XX design, which retains the smooth clamp. It appears that Jitsie has gone with this design. Edited April 11, 2016 by JKH
Mark W
Without getting all CSI on that shit, I wasn't 100% sure Jitsie's design actually uses a split clamp system. You can easily see the split at the top obviously, but the bottom part looks like it's all one-piece rather than having the bottom section wrap around? If you look at how deep the Avid/SRAM system has to be to work like that (and have it so the wrap-around clamp can clear the bars), the Jitsie one is nowhere near it. Without a hinge I can't really see it being that narrow in the clamp section and actually pass over your bars properly?
