jay-em-ass
Hey my name is Johannes and I am living in munich. Currently I am riding an Inspired Element 24" but I think i am a bit oversized for the geometry. I am thinking about ordering a custom frame from Marino but I am not sure how to change the geo for my size of 190cm (6,2ft). Can someone help me here? Thanks! Brian Bleech
What stem do you have? You could maybe try a longer stem on it.
jay-em-ass
I ride a 40° 70mm stem. Not extremely long but steep. I don't want to loose the street feeling with a longer one.

I am 6ft and ran a 90mm stem on my Inspired old fourplay and it still felt very streety, you could also fit some more spacers or get higher bars which will give you some more room. Dman
Try a bbb 90x35° stem really cheap if you don't like it, no problem, sell it on.
LEON
6ft 2" is not huge to the point of needing to modify stuff. Try a slightly longer stem or a longer reach frame. I'm 6ft, My Marino has a pretty long reach, about 683mm and it's so nice, loads of room to stretch out but it's all still short enough to throw about effortlessly. It's quite a low bb at +15 so that helps a bit.

But Leon what exactly do you mean with a reach of 683mm?
Mark W
Reach is the measurement from the centre of your BB to the centre top of your head tube. It's a more accurate(ish) indicator of how a bike rides than things like wheelbase which don't really mean too much, but tend to be overly relied upon in the trials world. As people have said, 6'2" isn't super tall so you shouldn't need to go too nuts with setup. I'm around 6'1" and it's never really been that big a deal for me, and Stan's a few inches taller and got away with a 90mm stem on his Fourplay and seemed to fit that reasonably well. I've got an 80x45 stem on my Arcade and that feels pretty roomy to me, also with Arcade bars. The Arcade front end is longer than the Element by a touch, but regardless, you shouldn't have to do much to get it feeling OK for you on the Element. As people have said, cheap forged stems tend to be a good way to dial in the front end of your bike. A 90x35 should work well for you, and I'm sure you could pick one up for under £20 (or the € equivalent :p) from the shop of your choice. old boy chez
I think I got this one . ..... I am 6'8 and I now only ride 24", the geo I have is of the older marino arcive and that for me works. With da-bomb bars and a bbb 35x100 stem on one bike and 110 on the other both work fine for me . I do have a few stackers on the forks but I don't really care on how it looks if it works ,it works . Like what has been said before change the stem see how you go from there . jay-em-ass
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help. I will try a 90x35° stem and maybe a new frame set. My inspired is getting tiny cracks on the chain stay... Can somebody give me a hint on how to customize the geo of the Arcade for my needs? +15mm BB, ...
Mark W
I don't think you'd really need to do much to the Arcade really. The front triangle effectively works out being longer than your Element, and with the head angle being steeper it also means that your stem will be rotated more so it'd have a bit more reach too. If you're currently using a steep 70mm stem and swap to a 90mm stem with less rise you'll gain around 17mm more reach and also get 12mm more bar height, so add the extra reach of the Arcade frame to the things and then the effect of running your stem on a steeper head angle and you'll be gaining quite a lot of extra cockpit room straight away. I don't think you'd need to do anything more as if you do it could risk it being overly long and losing the benefits of having a nice, nimble, short-ish frame.

Mark W
Then that's not an Arcade frame
