euljeune
Took the lever apart again today to clean it, I did replaced the piston for a racing line one some time ago and I've always use magura oil in these so far, finished by a bleed that felt solid but I kept having to screw in the adjustment during a riding session. So Im loosing oil somehow, I think it's from the lever: I inserted a piece of tissue in the lever around the link to check and it got blue wet after riding a bit. Are the 2011 HS33 known to be leaky? Could the master cylinder have wear out? Any comments appreciated.
AdamR28
If you take the lever apart again and look down into the bore, where the piston goes, have a look for scratches. This is quite common unfortunately, and is made worse by the aluminium piston, and means a new lever
euljeune
Thanks Adam, I did not recall seeing any major scratches but will check again. But even though I have the aluminium piston it should not really be in contact with the cylinder, the o-rings are no? Are the new 2013 hs33 made of this plastic composite material again?
