jennyd
Hi guys, I want to change ALL my bolts to titanium on my trial bike, because it's to heave atm. Is this a good idea? or do you guys think it's better to keep steel bolts at some places? And where do i buy good quality titanium bolts? i seen them on e-bay cheapest, but can I trust the quality? also found biketweaks , they seem to have good price and quality, but how do I know for sure what the best bolt are? ogre
ti bolts are probably the least cost efficient way to save weight; whats your current bike and spec? lighter tyres/wheels/forks will make your bike feel alot lighter, so will rim brakes over disc brakes.... alloy bolts are usually lighter than ti, but not as strong. LEON
Yeah unless they're big ones like a Hope axle bolt then you're not saving that much weight overall, definitely not enough to justify £70 - £80 on bolts. They do look nice though.
