Rotor choice for MT7

The standard storm rotors are really good. It took a decent sized gap to 90 (c/w with a 3/10 landing) to cause some damage to mine! I'd fully recommend them.

If you're looking for something else, you could try and line up a shimano rotor for them! I've just got the Deore Rotors on at the moment and they seem reasonable.

Still using the Shimano Saint-style rotor on mine and it works a treat.  Trialtech pads, Shimano rotor, ideal.

This.

I went for the standard Storm rotors in the beginning as the brakes came with them but they didn't really develop a decent hold.. as if you needed to bed the pads back in  every time you ride.

The choice of rotors was taken off me since I once accidently pulled the lever when landing a rather big abubaca, which led to the rotor being kinda bulged in the rear.

I then went for the old SM-RT66 I used to have with the Saints.. works perfectly well.

Any infos on those Trialtech pads, though?

I remember someone mentioning them but couldn't find them on Tartybikes or something back then.

The MT-series pads came in a little after their first batch of other pads, they're available on our site now.  We just stock the MT5 model as they're a bit cheaper and should give less pad rock (the 'V' in the middle of the pad seems to give less movement in the caliper than the 4 individual pad setup).  I've been running them in my brakes for a few weeks and they're spot on, really pleased with them.  The power is ridiculous.  Ali was using them before me and said he'd dropped a rotor size since switching to them from the Magura Performance pads and I can see why.  I accidentally got my front brake super hot on a ride not so long ago, and rather than glazing and losing all performance they just gave a 'gritty' feel at the lever very briefly, then start working fine again.

EDIT:  Forgot to say, I'm using the RT-76 rotors (so the floating ones) rather than the solid rotors.  The solid ones seem really good too though from what I've seen.
