Dman
Hope Pro 4 Hub. http://www.hopetech.com/pro4factory/ Will there be a trials version of this?
ogre
probably not; we get more EPs on the trials one and i presume this is to cater for boost and all the other new mtb standards that we don't entertain.
Mark W
With Hope's tendency to just freestyle products these days it wouldn't surprise me if they started doing a trialsy version of this without really telling anyone...
Ross McArthur
They do sell themselves..
onzatpro09
I know that I shouldn't get one, but like Ross said, they sell themselves. The gain is so marginal in reality, meaning I'd only gain about 12 EPs at the cranks over my Pro 2s with my gearing, but who cares? Obviously you'll have to buy a set though and not just a rear Plus this all depends on there being a trials version...
Ali C
any idea on the engagement points of the new xc Pro4s? I have found they have 8 degree movement but I've seen the trials hub has 4 degrees which would suggest they're ~44 engagement points. I thought that was what the old pro 2 evo (XC) hubs were at? Hope said they increased the engagement but that doesn't sound like it. Edit, turns out the old hub was 36 engagements, so it's a little higher at 44 now
Dman
http://www.hopetech.com/product/pro-4-trialssingle-speed-rear-hub/#tech It's on the site but no pics of the rear just front.
Mark W
3 hours ago, Ross McArthur said: They do sell themselves.. It's more that you can sometimes order things from Hope and the won't necessarily send what you were expecting So it's not really much pressure from their end to push new stuff as it's just what people will end up ordering anyway, either intentionally or not. Be interesting to see how regularly Hope decide to add another click here and there to make their hubs marketable.
Mark W
Got the new Hope hubs in stock today - should be up in the site later. Turns out the Trial Zone rotors are totally different (and way better looking) now:
Dman
Nice the Orange ones, not sure I'd run that colour though.
Ross McArthur
Yea, not a fan on the colour but 88 engagement points now?! Wow.
Mark W
Speaking of orange hubs... Whoever may or may not have ordered them will be getting them (and the ti bolts and stuff) tomorrow.

Mikee
Although it wouldn't be my choice, I think the orange looks quite nice. The green seal looks a bit unusual though.
Rusevelt
Is orange the new gold, or just an addition to the Hope family? Would be interesting to see the subtle tonal differences of both hubs paired up.
JD™
Those wheels look like something I would've ordered, but I don't think I did.

Mark W
Yeah, gold was discontinued a while back, and gunsmoke discontinued more recently. The orange is quite a lot different to the gold though. This is the full range of colours Hope do now:

TrialsIsHard
I'm not sure I like the order they have put those in. I'd like to see an arcade built up with those purple hubs though, would be pimp.
ben_travis
Mark - are the colours slightly different tones to those of previous models? Looking at the pics on TB, they appear so, but could just be the photographic conditions have changed since the pro 2 photos were taken or the angles just make it look that way Edited January 13, 2016 by ben_travis
N.Wood
It seems a real shame that the 14 year olds of today can't make a mess of their bikes by covering them in gold Hope bits like we used to.
Mikee
I really liked the gunsmoke colour, so that's a shame.

The blue and red ones tend to be the ones that vary most, but they've been reasonably consistent of late. Overall the colours have shifted a bit though.
Dman
I remember when I visited hope, they said they could get a better anodising finish, in terms of the colours and vibrancy, but it involved using some nasty chemicals so they didn't bother. Could be the reason.
