isitafox
I've tried searching this but since the update the search function is useless, so.... What gear ratio for a 2012 Fourplay (375 stays) to run it tensionerless??
jeff costello
i have a tensionerless setup on mine right now. 22 in the front, probably 16 in the back (can't remember, haven't used the fourplay in ages - but i checked with the magic gear calc and it's probably 16) iirc there was another combination with an 18 ring in the front that was also pretty close. but for BOTH combinations i needed a pre-stretched chain - could only get the chain on with excessive force otherwise. isitafox
Yeah I thought it was 22-16, to be honest it's been that long I can't even remember what I used to run. Will see what's fitted when it arrives then thanks!
jeff costello
want me to count the teeth, to be sure?
Mikee
I find this very useful when I try to get a tensionerless setup. http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/chain_length/chainlengthcalc.html

JJ Leigh
22-16 sounds best ridden (and still do) that ratio on mine and other peoples bikes and feels the best.
Mikee
I had a play on the calculator and 22:16 and 18:12 seem to be the closest.
isitafox
I think I ran 22-15 on my old bike so would be nice to try something different
