Herbertlemon102
Found a rather nice threadless headset I was thinking of using for my new frame- it has needle roller bearings in it, which I thought was Imteresting. In the end it's a headset so it's going to work regardless- but I was wondering if anyone's had any prior experience with them?
forteh
Needle or roller bearings? You might find that needles might not take the impacts so well before brinelling the race and failing, but that said it will probably last just as long as any other headset

Never seen a headset with them so it caught my eye! Thanks
bike_dummie
Best of getting a standard conventional headset. The direction of the force being applied to the bearing is not what it's designed for.
ogre
i used one for a while with no issues when i wasn't very good. but if they had any merits for trials, or even mtb they'd have been employed by now surely? king and hope don't use it so i can't imagine your missing out.
