lankyri
Anyone do weapons training. I've had the pleasure of training with a silat master we was using a sorong and a crombi (it's like a a dinosaur claw shape with a ring at one end) Hoping to learn how to use sais and a bo later on
*gentlydoesit
In my younger day I did judo, karate and aikedo for around 12 years. I managed 1st kyu, 2nd kyu, and dan respectively. Funny how it's not like riding a bike... you do forget can still hold my own though
Revolver
I did Karate til 2nd Kyu. I was sad that we never learned throws or applications. I came to Korea and I'm learning judo here. Belts change quick, I'm at 4th belt now. It's good fun.
lankyri
I don't think that we forget you still know how to throw a punch or a combination but your guard may be a bit slippy and certainly your hand speed would be halved I took about 6 months off whilst my son was ill and new born when I got back into training earlier this year I had lost most of my speed and technique with kicks still building my legs back up. I'd Lovett learn judo and bjj but to be honest it looks too technical for me it's not my style of fighting at all (more of a counter fighter or a outside fighter) but respect to those who put the time into learning a art
chimpanzyyyy
I ve done savate for a few years Not doing any martial art related stuff at the moment but I m a HUGE fan of MMA I mean HUUUGE I did even work as an illustrator for a documentary about a Belgian UFC fighter(I m from Belgium) would love to start mma but not sure it's gonna happen I would especially love to learn technical boxing(good footwork and head mouvements) aswell as grappling I tried a double leg takedown once at a MMA class(did it once) and it was so fun you grab a hold of the guy and you lift hin in the air, then you just let him fall on the ground and he gets "hit by the earth" very efficient kickboxing is reaaally cool love to watch some of the oldschool legends fights, like crocop or andy hug
