Mikee
Need some new pedals for my hex after pinching the wellgo MG-1s off of it for my cannondale. I would get some more MG-1s but I fancy some slim pedals and the Nukeproof ones have caught my eye. CRC have both the Neutrons and Protons for £40. The only difference I can see is the body shape. Has anybody had experience with both?
Mark W
I don't have experience with both, but I do have some semi-relevant experience going from Neutrons to Hope pedals. When I had the pins that go in the centre of the body (by the axle) in place, it feels like it's almost got a convex pedal surface as your foot doesn't sink down into the centre of the pedal and feel like you're being held in place. On the Neutrons, due to there not being the centre pins, you get much more grip. I took those pins out on my Hope and it was instantly better, so I'd imagine that it'd be similar with the Protons. With the Neutrons having more pins in more useful parts of the body I think I'd be more inclined to go with them.
Dman
If you want slim look into superstar delta pedals , I've been running these for ages, I really like them.
Mikee
Thanks Mark. Given what you said and because I think the neutrons look better, I have ordered a set.
