stirlingpowers
Edit: Sumbitch, overfull heading: because he didn't ride in the French championship final. Frog federation FFC decided to disqualify him. He did a show at the Tour de France instead of competing. Mark W
It gives him more time to look at his bike in a tree. Every cloud.
LEON
I'm not even sure if his bars on backwards or forwards.
jeff costello
pic makes me question why they aren't running inverted stems yet. ( i know it won't work with angled top, but still...)

stirlingpowers
Normal angle on his current bike though.
AndeeeMK2
Gilles is a miserable B*stard
madman64
He actually run the qualifications, which he's won, but the following day decided to do a show on the Tour de France instead of running the finals. Which was not appreciated by the representatives of the federation present that day, according to Tribalzine. Which sounds weird anyway. Still, Jack vs. Gilles would have been great. Hopefully they'll both attend to the world championship.
stirlingpowers
I'm always baffled by the Gilles' decisions to not ride (Heubach last year, Krakow, now this), given the level of obsession (and talent) one needs to get to his level. His decisions were right, though.
DangerousDave
I've met Gilles a few times and he's always come across as a nice guy. Showed us a couple riding spots when we were in southern France too. The politics of this decision seem pretty ridiculous. It sucks when you can't get all the top riders together. I bet Jack himself was disappointed too. He doesn't seem like the kind of person who just wants to win, he wants to compete against the best, and win. Mark W
He already did that, to the extent that Gilles didn't bother showing up to a World Cup last year. It seems Gilles not bothering to show up for comps is catching up with him...
