lankyri
Afternoon all was setting up my new brakes was taking off the last bolt and it's completely rounded off I've tried the old hacksaw job but it's just chewed the head and I've read online to cut the whole head off and disk will come off and unscrew. The thread with pliers. Question is if I can't get the thread out is 5bolts good enough to hold the disk brake rotor (it's a avid bb7) on a 29er so it's more just a slowing down brake rather than a trials brake Any help would be great
isitafox
I'd go down the grinder route, pretty sure 5 bolts will be enough though should it come to that.
bing
Grinder or drill the head off with a 10mm drill
HippY
I used a hacksaw, cut the head off half by accident then with light tapping it came off easily!
