anthrax
Hello bikers, I am new @trials sport. Im 22 years old, from Vienna/Austria and started with 15 unicycle trial (I will say, that Im very good on my uni). Its amazing, but now I want "more". I want to start with trial. Ive read much about bikes and i also read, that a used bike is better than a new bike. My questions: 1) Is a 20 or 24 better to start? I want to do Trial, but I live in a big city, so its maybe streetrial. 26 is to big! (1.82 meters tall) My unicycle is 20" but the 24 looks more "like a bike", the 20er looks like bmx'er.. 2) Bikes: Used (I dont know, if they are sold or not): Monty 220, Monty 219, Inspired Fourplay 24", Monster Boy Trial Bike New: Inspired Element, Onza Bird, Onza Zoot My thinkings: New is new.... its new. Used is used, but it has maybe better components. I found them on a page for bikeselling. What do you think? My insurance will give me 560 euro for my old stolen dirt bike, so I have 100-200 euro with the 560 = 660-760 Thanks a lot, Anthrax Ps: Sorry for this english, my handy will correct every sentence, because its a german dict.! crilin202
I'll go for second hand, for that money you can find a fairly well spec'ed bike 20 or 24 is personal preference maybe, many of us ride a pure trials bike 90% in the city... they can be equally fun to ride! good luck
