Jambles
I ride an onza RIP with a pair of DMR pedals, these pedals haven't been the best since my feet sometimes slip off. I wear a pair of five tens which are brilliant on mountain bike (Which i ride the same set of DMRs) but they aren't as good on the trials bike. Any suggestions on which pedals would be better for trials riding? Thanks
isitafox
If you are a platform pedal lover then I'd suggest either some Echo TR's or Wellgo style magnesium (you can get copies off ebay for around 15 pounds)
niconj
(you can get copies off ebay for around 15 pounds) Which I wouldn't suggest. I got the Wellgo MG1 copy of Topmax or sth. like this. They weigh more and the axle seems to be made of a different metal. I used the pedals three times on my trials bike and lost two pins (lost 1 pin on my Wellgos after 1 1/2 years). Then I put them on my commuter and the axle broke after another three days. bing
I've had two sets of topmax mg-1's and I've bent the axles on both sets. They are well weak. Nukeproof electrons are the best pedals I've ever had
N.Wood
I've been using Wellgo copies for years (a lot actually have wellgo stamped onto them) and all have been fine.
niconj
I've been using Wellgo copies for years (a lot actually have wellgo stamped onto them) and all have been fine. I suppose that they WERE Wellgos then. The Topmax are just a cheap copy and I wouldn't recommend them for trials riding. My axle broke under no pressure whatsoever. Just imaging what could happen riding trials.
monkeyseemonkeydo
I'm running the Topmax pedals on my Commencal Meta with no issues at all and am using even cheaper plastic no name rubbish on my Arcade (think they were £6.99) for 18 months now with zero problems...
PÃt
I got my Mg-1s from ebay, (~£19), works well (I think its not a copy, how to check?). One pedal I dont suggest is the VP-59 (Kross/BTS/etc...). Looks and weights great, but no grip at all.

You can already see that the Topmax have a different axle as it's not as shiny and neat as the one the Wellgos have. Some people might have made good experiences with copies but I wouldn't recommend them. Especially not considering that the Wellgos usually only cost 10€ more. isitafox
I love how everyone went through a phase of snapping the axles on them yet I'm still using a pair bought off Mark Westlake about 3-4 years ago which he ran on one of his Inspireds (I think)
Ash-Kennard
if you don't care about weight get the revell pedals, they are the shit

LEON
I've got the newest version of the Dmr V12, it's thinner and has a wider base than the old one, I love them, They're as good as my Nukeproofs, maybe better! I'd have Dmr Vaults if money was no object, but money is an object. Edited June 6, 2015 by LEON
